Competing on "Jeopardy" was Cindy Stowell's lifelong dream and that is why she pursued all her efforts in order to get in the game competition. Stowell 41, is a science content developer from Austin, Texas. According to her family, she really loves to enjoy and also to win the game in order to achieve her advocacy.
A report from The New York Times revealed that Stowell began taping her episodes last August 31, 2016, and at that time she was already suffering from colon cancer stage four. Only the game's host, Alex Trebek and a few staff were aware of her health condition.
Earlier this year, she passed the online contestant test and was invited to undergo an audition in Oklahoma City. The doctor's best guess regarding Stowell's lifeline is about six months that's why during her audition she reached out to the show's producer and asked the timeline and the length of the competition. She stated that if there is still a chance she still wants to record episodes of 'Jeopardy'.
Cindy Stowell joined the competition in order to contribute and donate the fruit of her triumph to charities involved in cancer research. As stated by her boyfriend, Jason Hess and relatives, Greg Stowell and Carole Stowell, Cindy did 'Jeopardy' not just to enjoy but also to help in cancer research. She was then selected and the producer booked her appearance on the show as soon as possible three weeks after her audition on August 31, 2016.
According to Kolotv, Stowell first appeared on the show's episode that aired on December 13 and was actually the winning contestant with $22,801. Stowell's luck continued again on the show that aired December 14 taking home $8,199. With her latest win, Stowell's total on the four days continuous winning streak amounts to $62,001. The total amount of Stowell's winning will be donated to Cancer Research Institute. Meanwhile from Cancer to Post-traumatic Stress Disorder is Lady Gaga being hypocrite?
