Hunting and searching for Shiny Pokémon made it easier in the "Pokémon Sun and Moon". With the "Masuda Method", breeding these rare types of Shiny Pokémon is much easier and convenient for the users.
According to the WWG, players take a long time to breed one of the rarest Pokémon - the shiny Pokemon. However, through the exploit "Masuda Method", breeding becomes easier. It just requires a player that will breed two Pokemon from two different countries. The player could hatch a Shiny Pokémon at about 1 in 512 chance if the Pokemon was paired with a Shiny Charm. The Shiny Charm is only earned when the player completes the Pokedex.
The exploit, which is also termed as "Swap Breeding" Method, in "Pokemon Sun and Moon" indicates that Pokemon trainers could breed a Shiny Pokemon using the "Masuda Method". However, they can also reset and swap Pokemon if they have the required amount of eggs. "Swap Breeding" allow the players to breed a Ditto and a Magikarp which will come out as a Shiny Magikarp.
When the player does not want to save the game, they can reset it without the need to save. The exploit will then allow the players to repeat the process until they have chosen the Pokemon they want to breed. The exploit also allows the player to collect the desired eggs which are required for hatching a Shiny Pokemon.
Meanwhile, iDigital Times revealed that the "Pokemon Sun and Moon" can be able to predict the needed eggs for the hatching of a Shiny Pokemon. They have listed the specific ways and guide on how the use the method.
The "Swap Breeding" method requires various things which include Destiny Knot, an Everstone, Magikarp, and a Ditto from another country. If the trainers have the following requirements, the Ditto, and the Magikarp will be placed in the nursery. However, the Destiny Knot should be equipped in the Ditto to produce the desired Shiny Pokemon while the Everstone should be placed to the Pokemon you want to breed.
However, before starting the "Swap Breed Method", the player must not forget to save the game. Though the players could reset the game, it was indicated that removing the Destiny Knot from the Ditto should be avoided since it "will reset the chain". Swapping the Magikarp should only be done with Pokemon with gender, not with genderless or fixed-gendered Pokemon like Rufflet, Miltank, and Tauros.
Regardless of the complications, the "Pokemon Sun and Moon" Swap Breeding method ensure Shiny Pokemon rewards to the trainers. Share what you think about this method in the comment section below!
