It has been announced that “Pokemon GO” players can now find pocket creatures from the Johto region. Hard to find Pokemon, such as Pichu and Togepi, can now be tracked down and added to one’s Pokedex by using a couple of tricks and tips while playing the augmented reality game.

According to IGN (via Entertainment Weekly), “Pokemon GO” players can find the elusive Pokemon by finding and hatching eggs. The trick is to use two-kilometer eggs to hatch Igglypuff and Cleffa. Five-kilometer eggs will hatch Pichu, who will eventually turn into Pikachu. The same type of eggs will also result to Togepi’s hatching, which evolves into Togetic. To get Smoochum, Magby, and Elekid, one only needs to use ten-kilometer eggs for these creatures to hatch.

Players are advised to look for new eggs in PokeStops as any eggs in one’s possession will not hatch into any of the Johto region Pokemons. One more tip that players should keep in minds is that all the Johto region pocket monsters share candy, which makes it easier to evolve newly captured Pokemon.

Meanwhile, as a holiday treat, the official “Pokemon GO” website announced that more limited edition Pokemon can be captured until Dec. 29 at 10 a.m. PST. These limited edition pocket monsters can easily be recognized as they will be wearing a festive hat to celebrate the holiday season.

It appears as though Niantic is stepping up its game after Nintendo’s “Super Mario Run” surpassed “Pokemon GO” as the most downloaded game to date. Express.co reports that the latest “Pokemon GO” update appears to have increased the speed limit, enabling players to visit PokeStops while traveling. It was claimed that a player was able to visit 13 PokeStops while en route to work, which wasn’t possible before the update.

In the patch notes for the update released on Monday, Niantic says that the bug that caused incorrect vibration has been fixed. It was also said that the day and night modes have been changed to reflect the Trainer’s current time of day. No mention was made about the change in speed limit.
