NBA Trade Rumors: Philadelphia 76ers Might Trade Joel Embiid Or Nerlens Noel To The Los Angeles Lakers For Jordan Clarkson

The Philadelphia 76ers is probably the most talked about team in the NBA today. NBA trade rumors have surfaced because of the team's crowded frontcourt lineup which includes Joel Embiid and Nerlens Noel. With the trade season open, the 76ers wants to solve its frontcourt issues and might trade Embiid and Noel to the Los Angeles Lakers for Jordan Clarkson.
In a report by ESPN, 76ers head coach Brett Brown plans to take out Noel in the team's rotation unless its other two big men, Embiid and Jahlil Okafor, would get into foul trouble. Brown said that the team's productivity and efficiency might get compromised if he forces Noel back into the rotation.
Now, this is the reason why Noel has been included in NBA trade rumors in the past months because it just won't work having three centers on the roster. Noel even expressed his desire to be traded and said, "I think I'm too good to be playing eight minutes. That's crazy. Need to figure this s-t out."
According to Fox Sports, there are NBA trade rumors about the Lakers getting Noel because he would be a good fit for the team's rotation and a possible trade piece would be Jordan Clarkson. But recently there's also news about the 76ers trading Embiid because of an elbow inflammation he got recently. This would now give the Lakers an option to choose between Embiid and Noel.
If the Lakers get Embiid, it would be a big plus for them since he has been playing phenomenal this season averaging 18.PPG, 7.4 RPG and 2.5 BLKPG. Considering he has been out for 2 years, his numbers are really good which could greatly help the Lakers.
However, Embiid looks too promising which is why the 76ers might hold on to him despite the Lakers offering Clarkson in return. If the 76ers wants to trade Noel, they need to give him enough minutes during games so he could showcase himself to interested teams like the Lakers.
These NBA trade rumors are only speculations and there are no official statements coming from both teams. But the trade deadline is still a long way so there's a possibility for these trade rumors to happen.
