The smallest woman in the world just visited one of the biggest cities in the world.

Jyoti Amge, who at 19 yearls old stands 25 inches tall and wearing clothes that fit for toddlers, flew to New York City from her hometown of Nagpur, India last Wednesday to promote the launch of the Guinness' Book of World Records, 2014 edition. The pint sized teen has told interviewers that she was very fortunate, and is grateful for the Guinness Book of World Records for giving her the opportunity to go around the big, big world.

But life had not always been blessings: When her mother, Ranjana Amge was in the final stages of her pregnancy with, she was deathly afraid of an unsuccessful delivery; the doctors were not optimistic about the progress, and experts did not know what to say after seeing sonograms of her baby. But 20 years later, the agony is far away, and both parents are proud to see their daughter happy, healthy, and successful. Her condition dictates that she be born without the necessary growth hormones responsible for acquiring height. She is the only member of her family to be of that size, but she still finds time to help out with chores around the house. Jyoti is planning to go to college, and wants to be an actress (so far, she has already appeared in two Bollywood movies). Her optimistic views are what seem to be her foremost strength.

She is now a spokeswoman for the Guinness World Records 2014, appearing at the Thursday launch, an event that was held at the Empire State Building. The book even includes a full body sized picture of her, as her entire height could fit right into the book!

The 2014 edition features its usual amazing stories and photographs, and also features several interactive apps, including one where you can try on the world's longest tongue and see what you will look like with it.
