Spotify Wants Barack Obama To Be Its ‘President Of Playlists’

Outgoing President Barack Obama wouldn’t need to seek other jobs anymore as Spotify has something for him. Dubbed as the "President of Playlist," this job seemed made for just the noted Spotify fan, Obama.
Given the fact that Obama would already leave office in a few weeks, the music company Spotify seemed to target him for the position. The job was posted on Spotify’s career page under the job title “President of Playlists”. Some of the job specifications require the candidate to be able to “Provide world-class leadership” and should have at least an eight-year experience running a highly-regarded nation. Another notable requirement was someone who acquired a Nobel Prize, and Obama got one last 2009.
The new employee should also be able to "Identify and substantiate new playlist ideas, e.g. from a playlist for shooting hoops with your friends, to the perfect warm up playlist for addressing the nation about health care legislation that bears your name."
Also, Obama’s recent joke about his plans after he leaves the White House, as reported by USA Today, could be the reason behind the creation of the job listing. Obama’s statement was posted by former US ambassador to Sweden, Mark Brzezinski’s wife Natalia Brzezinski on Instagram. "I'm still waiting for my job at Spotify... Cuz' I know y'all loved my playlist!" is what Obama stated in the post.
Well, Spotify’s CEO Dan Elk directly approached Obama to take note on the job post. “Hey @BarackObama, I heard you were interested in a role at Spotify,” he tweeted. “Have you seen this one?”
From the classics down to the contemporary music, some of the playlists Obama shared with Spotify since 2015 were tracks from Beyoncé, Black Eyed Peas, Frank Sinatra, Bob Marley and more. The categories were then listed in various categories like summer playlist for nighttime, daytime, Christmas and for workouts.
The 44th President sure does know his tracks, but no answers were yet announced regarding his response to the job post.
