Days before Donald Trump becomes the 45th President of the United States, his daughter, Ivanka Trump, announced that she will no longer be involved in the management or operational roles at her apparel and accessories brand. She also revealed that she would be stepping down from the Trump Organization. So what’s next for the former model and the soon-to-be First Daughter?

Ivanka took to her Facebook account on Thursday, Jan. 12 to let her followers know about her plans for the future. The 35-year-old said that she has appointed Abigail Klem to lead her fashion brand and that her brothers, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, will oversee the Trump Organization.

Based on her statement, it appears that Ivanka Trump has stepped down in order to support her husband, Jared Kushner, who has been recently appointed as Senior Advisor to the President.

“My husband, Jared, and I will be moving with our family to Washington, D.C., where Jared will serve as Senior Advisor to the President,” she wrote. “I plan to take time to settle our three young children into their new home and schools.”

Over the past few months, the mother-of-three has been deemed as the most influential member of the Trump campaign, with commentators saying that her warmth and professionalism has endeared her to the public.

Ivanka has also been called as the “very opposite of her father.” While the President-Elect has made headlines for making inflammatory statements, The Independent said that Ivanka’s record has remained “unblemished.”

Now that Ivanka is resigning from her own brand and the Trump Organization, many are wondering whether the former model would consider a position in her father’s administration. However, in the family’s “60 Minutes” interview with Lesley Stahl on CBS, Ivanka adamantly said that she didn’t want to be part of the administration.

“You know, there’s a lot of things that I feel deeply, strongly about,” she said. “But not in a formal administrative capacity.”

As the Trumps are gearing up to take over the White House, the people will be tuned in to see what’s next for Ivanka Trump.
