Miss Universe 2016 Pia Wurtzbach has captured hearts all over the world with her charm, sense of humor, and her ability to show grace under pressure. In a few days, the beauty queen will be turning over her crown to the next title holder, and fans are wondering what’s next for the Filipina-German beauty after her reign.
Over the weekend, Wurtzbach went live on Facebook to reconnect with her supporters, according to SunStar. While she couldn’t reveal her plans after the Miss Universe 2017 pageant, she did say that she will be returning to New York City as “she has a lot of work lined up after Miss Universe.”
Based on her cryptic answer, it appears that the beauty queen is planning something big after she turns over the crown. Here are some possible careers for Miss Universe 2016 Pia Wurtzbach after her reign.
Hollywood actress
Wurtzbach, formerly known as teen actress Pia Romero in the Philippines, is expected to return to her acting roots in her home country after her reign. However, it’s likely that she’s eyeing Hollywood as she once said that she hopes to be a Bond girl in an upcoming “James Bond” movie.
In an interview with Preview magazine (via ABS CBN News), she revealed that she’s not picky about roles and that she’s “keeping my fingers crossed” for a “James Bond” role. She also said that she’s open to playing a villain in a movie.
It appears that she’s determined to hone her acting skills as she told the magazine that she’s considering studying at the New York Film Academy after her Miss Universe reign.
TV Show Correspondent or Host
The beauty queen proved that she can hold her own in interviews and TV appearances. But Pia Wurtzbach has shown everyone that she also has what it takes to host a TV show or be a correspondent. As Wurtzbach is known for being articulate and direct, this career path looks to be a perfect fit for her.
It can be recalled that during the early days of her reign, Wurtzbach was tapped by “Inside Edition” to be a special correspondent for Super Bowl 50. Viewers saw how the beauty queen interviewed and danced with the football players and gamely even learned how to dab.
Reality show host
Think “America’s Next Top Model” or a new reality show that focuses on the pageant world. Wurtzbach can impart her knowledge and serve as a coach or mentor, but she would also be a competent host.
Newspaper columnist
Prior to being Miss Universe, Wurtzbach was a beauty writer and stylist for Philippine publication The Inquirer. It’s easy to picture the 27-year-old giving beauty, career, and life advice to many women in a written format.
