If you are frustrated about your fruitless job hunt in your city or country, if you are getting tired of submitting resumes that do not get any responses, then the reason for your present situation may be because you are looking for a job in the wrong place. Head over to Singapore, where job seekers find employment quickly.
Singapore is the recommended country for people who are currently unemployed or retired and are looking for a job, reports Fortune. What makes it so? Because it is the nation that has the shortest period of unemployment in the world as revealed in the data published by Singapore's Ministry of Manpower.
Take the United States of America, for instance, where it takes an individual roughly three months to find a new job and in Australia, approximately four months, wrote Fortune. In Singapore, on the other hand, a median average of two months or eight weeks sees a person landing a new occupation.
Despite its unemployment rate of 3 percent, Bloomberg reported back in November 2016 that according to the Minister of Education, Ong Ye Kung, the aerospace, health care, and precision engineering sectors are performing well and are still hiring workers. He chalks the low unemployment rate to the fact that workers in the country continue to learn new skills to supply what new job demands have come up and may come up in the future.
Not only does that ensure that workers do not get left behind by new technological trends but they are also able to move from one field to another or one job description to another. This can be one reason as to why workers in the country are able to find jobs more quickly than in other countries.
The Minister of Manpower, Lim Swee Say, also boasts that retiring individuals in the country can find re-employment in Singapore. He stated that 98 percent of people who were aged 62 were offered re-employment.
