John Cena will soon add hosting to the list of his skills in his resume although he does not seem to need one. The WWE superstar has been tasked to entertain children at Nickelodeon's 2017 "Kids' Choice Awards."
SFGate reported that Cena confirmed that he got the job of hosting this year's "Kids' Choice Awards." It would be the first time that the wrestling megastar will host the show, although he did act as host of the 2016 Teen Choice Awards.
The wrestling megastar expressed excitement that he got the gig. In "Kids' Choice Awards," the biggest and brightest stars receive awards for their contributions to the entertainment industry depending on the votes of children. One of the attractions of the show is the slime time when actors and actresses are bathed in green slime in front of the kids.
It appears that Cena already had a bit of experience in hosting. He served as a special co-host on NBC's "Today" Tuesday morning.
Hosting Nickelodeon's 2017 "Kids' Choice Awards" could be a piece of cake for the wrestling megastar. He has been known to be nice to kids and he has already proved that he can tickle the funny bones of viewers.
Cena has secured several projects in the entertainment industry recently. It appears that his wrestling fame is a good investment and is serving him well as he tries out other stuff.
Aside from hosting, Cena's other non-wrestling gig is acting, Variety reported. He was one of the actors in the movie "Trainwreck." He also tried his hands on comedy when he appeared on Saturday Night Live, Jobs & Hire previously reported.
His upcoming projects include several movies like "The Pact." Despite his several gigs outside of the WWE, Cena continues to appear on "WWE SmackDown Live."
