The "Thursday's Today" show will never be the same again without Tamron Hall. Loyal fans of the "Thursday's Today" show have learned to anticipate Tamron's face whenever the show is being aired, but they would now have to get used to her absence.
Tamron, who has been one of the co-hosts of the show for the past three years, has decided to resign from NBC News, People reported. Her former employer has nothing but good things to say about her, calling her an exceptional journalist. NBC News thanked Tamron for her contribution to the company, especially for her part in the success of the "Thursday's Today" show.
Al Roker's wishes for Tamron serve as confirmation that fans of the "Thursday's Today" show will no longer see Tamron in it. Weekend co-host and correspondent Sheinelle Jones and actor Dean Cain have been with Al when he said his formal goodbye to his co-host.
Despite the good words from NBC News and Al, speculations have arisen that Tamron is leaving the company because she has a problem with how the recent shakeup in the morning show's lineup has been executed. Apparently, NBC News decided to give former Fox News employee Megyn Kelly an hour of air time, effectively replacing Tamron and Al.
Entertainment Online reported that Tamron released a statement thanking her colleagues about their impact on her life. From the tone of the message, it does not look like Tamron harbor some deep resentment against the media company.
According to the report, NBC News announced that there will indeed be a new morning lineup comes fall of 2017. The Emmy winner and co-host of the "Thursday's Today" show is leaving just as NBC News cancels the usual airtime given to her and her co-host, Al.
Regarding hosting, Jobs & Hire previously reported that John Cena is hosting Nickelodeon's 2017 "Kids' Choice Awards."
