Patrick Swayze's mother, Patsy Swayze, died Monday evening at the age of 86, just days before her son's 4th death anniversary, The National Enquirer reported.

Patsy Swayze died Monday evening at age 86 after suffering from a stroke on Sept. 8. She died at her Simi Valley, California home just 2 days after her son's Sept. 14th fourth death anniversary.

Swayze's publicist, Annett Wolf, said Patsy's cause of death was not given.

MSN reported that Patsy was a choreographer and dancer, who has taught dance lessons for decades to a number of students including 'Fame' director Debbie Allen and Broadway star Tommy Tune, and she has taught at the University of Houston for more than ten years while at the same time worked as choreographer for the Houston Playhouse Center as well as to the Houston Youth Symphony and Ballet Company.

Patrick's mother has worked as a choreographer to many films such as in the 1980 film 'Urban Cowboy,' where she worked with John Travolta and coached the actor on his two-step movements. She also choreographed a few others including 'Hope Floats,' 'Liar's Moon,' and in the 2003 film 'One Last Dance,' where she worked with her son and daughter-in-law Lisa Niemi Swayze, who was the director of the film as well, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Reports stated that Lisa was apparently a teenage student of Patsy when she met her son, Patrick. The two then got married in 1975, and spent years together prior to Patrick's death in 2009 after a long battle against pancreatic cancer.

According to Daily Mail, Patrick has always been very close to his mother, who taught him how to dance, which led to the blossoming of his Hollywood career.

Patsy's family members reportedly told The Enquirer a week earlier that it was only a matter of short time before the choreographer expires after suffering from a stroke.

"She probably won't last out the week. One bright spot is that her chain stroke breathing, which is a gasping for air, has subsided," they said, adding that the dance instructor has already told them that she doesn't want to be resuscitated.

Patsy also wished that her remains be buried at Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Simi Valley, where her husband "Buddy" and daughter "Vicky," who committed suicide, are interred.

The Enquirer also shared that Patsy's sons Sean and Donnie Swayze, and her daughter-in-law Jami, where by her bedside when she passed away.
