Before becoming a world-renowned author, businesswoman, and TV personality, Stewart worked on Wall Street and owned a catering firm. She became successful at the age of 41 with the release of her first book, “Entertaining.”
Vera Wang
The famous designer was a figure skater, dancer, and journalist before entering the highly competitive fashion world at the age of 40. Now, she is one of the most in-demand fashion designers in the world, and her wedding dresses have been the most sought after by brides since the 90’s.
Tim and Nina Zagat
The husband and wife duo gave up their legal careers at the age of 42 to start their first restaurant guides back in 1979. Their company, Zagat, was acquired by Google in September 2011 for an astounding $125 million.
Momofuku Ando
According to CNBC, the entrepreneur was 48 when he first invented instant noodles. Apart from that, he is also the inventor of instant ramen and cup noodles.
Donald Fisher
The businessman was 41 years old when he and his wife, Doris, founded The Gap. They went on to purchase Banana Republic and also founded Old Navy.
Alan Rickman
The late actor was a relative unknown until he nabbed his breakout role as Hans Gruber in “Die Hard.” He was 42 when he appeared in the film.

The entrepreneur was 42 when he founded the fitness wear company Lululemon. He is said to have a net worth of $2.4 billion.
