At 73 years old, Raquel Welch still sizzled on the red carpet, turning heads and causing a collective amount of jaws to drop open, as she attended Variety & Woman In Film party in Beverly Hills last Friday.
The mother-of-two rocked a sexy fitting leopard-print pencil dress, still retaining her 1960s pin-up girl glamor. The former sex-icon received international attention after appearing, scantily clad, on a movie poster back in the 70s.
The question on everybody's mind of course, is how she still manages to look like that at 73, not appearing like she aged that much at all since her 1960s celebrity peak. Is it all a work of nature, or has she had a little manmade assistance?
The former Playboy Magazine cover girl has managed to successfully age beautifully over the years; she has been well-remembered for emerging in a skimpy, animal skin bikini and booties with her hair in the wind in One Million Years B.C. She has also appeared in films such as Myra Breckinidge, and Bedrazzled.
She is set to appear alongside Gina Gershon in a Donatella Versace biopic, starring as Donatella's Aunt Lucia. The film, based on a 2010 book by Deborah Ball, is set to be released in early October.
Aside from acting, Welch is also the proprietor of HairU Wear's Raquel Welch wig collection. She is also the face of Foster Grant Eyewear, and is known to the current generation as 'that hot lady from the eyeglasses commercial.'
Raquel Welch attributes her well-maintained looks to a strict diet and exercise regimen, eating several small portions of fish and vegetables throughout the day, and doing yoga first thing in the morning. Although she has had help, (Botox and hair weaves), she is critical of over-dependence on plastic surgery.
