These men are said to be from Minnesota and is bet 18-19 years old.

These reports however had caused tension to Somali refugees settling in Minneapolis and Columbus Ohio for almost 22 years now. The largest outpost in the US is in the Metropolitan Minneapolis area and is said to be a recruitment hub for Al-Shabab since 2007. FBI reported at least 20 men had disappeared since that time.
Abdirizak Ali Bihi, Executive Director of the Minneapolis' Somali Education and Social Advocacy Center's said;
"Any time there is (al-Shabab) terrorist action, the whole community is anxious, sad and afraid. Our hope is this doesn't involve one of those stupid kids."
On Sunday, a Twitter post claimed most attackers were Somalis recruited in US , including the 2 identified men from Minnesota. AL-Shabab denied sending any of the messages on Social Media that identified any of the Kenyan mall attackers, and those that were killed by Kenyean Forces to rescue the hostages. Their statement was posted as a Tweet on Monday.
