It has been a grueling time for singer and actress Lea Michele of Glee stardom, after losing her boyfriend and fiancé Cory Monteith (also from Glee, and her onscreen romantic interest, to boot) to a drug overdose last July.

Cory Moteith had been found dead in his hotel room from complications of combining drugs with alcohol; a tragic turn of event as he had been recently released from rehab.

Grief over such a loss is not easy to overcome in just a few months, but Lea Michele remains strong. All she wants is for people to see how amazing Monteith was, inside and out.

Lea Michele had been absent at the recently concluded Emmy Awards, but expressed her joy and gratitude with the tribute her Glee co-star, Jane Lynch paid to Cory Monteith.

"Millions did fall in love with Cory, and I'm here to say that all that warmth and that charm - that openhearted quality that we love in Cory - it was no act. Cory was a beautiful soul," Jane Lynch's moving speech went at the Emmy's.

Everybody had expected Lea Michele to respond strongly to the Emmy controversy of having Cory Monteith being singled out in the memorial part of the show, outstaging even veteran actors such as the late jack Klugman, who had won three Emmys whereas Monteith had none. Critics have deemed it unfair that the Glee star got the most attention, and Glee fans turned toward Lea Michele's direction expecting to jump to her late fiancé's defense, but she did not.

She maintains that she was happy just by seeing Corey Monteith included and honored in the memorial telecast.

There is no word yet on how Monteith's abrupt death would be played out in the TV show, but producers say that a tribute for him would be present in season five, which is also how they planned to approach the death of his character, Finn Hudson.
