Grand Theft Auto's creator has sent out a warning to users to expect teething problems as the online version of the game launches.

The company is trying to fix it by "working around the clock to buy and add more servers". This was the statement that was given in a recent blog entry.

Apparently, introducing so many new computers have opened up the game to a bunch of new and unforeseen issues. This was the explanation that the company gave for temperamental matters.

The online version of Grand Theft Auto has sparked much excitement, as 16 players are said to be able to interact simultaneously with a pre-designed virtual environment. Players can also create and make their own personal avatars.

These are included in every copy of the GTA 5 console game sold. Analysts have reported that about 15 million units of GTA 5 have been sold worldwide since last week.

Analysts are also saying that conservatively, they are expecting about 2 million users to log on to the online version of GTA within 24 hours within its launch. This amount of users could really challenge a company's network infrastructure, especially that of Rockstar's, who have never had an online game this big before.

Warcraft, another very popular online game, apparently did not have that much users playing it at the same time, even when it was at its peak, so it should not be surprising that handling players of this magnitude will most likely result in different problems.

There have been other bestselling games that have also encountered issues after their respective servers could not keep up with the demand.

For example, SIM City once had to make players wait up to 30 minutes, and have them experience sluggish play, due to server problems.

The world is waiting to see whether GTA will have the same problems, if not more.
