US Secretary of State John Kerry announced that a deal regarding Iran's nuclear program could be reached quickly. He also added that doing so could dramatically improve the relationship between Iran and the US.

Kerry spoke in an interview that was aired on the show "60 Minutes". He also touched on intensifying the US' efforts to solve the dispute that was made due to Iran's nuclear program. If things go well, an agreement could be reached within three to six months, the time frame that Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

If Iran proves to be sincere, forthcoming and clear, then a deal could be in place sooner. Kerry also added that if the program proves to be a peaceful one, and the whole world sees that, then it should change how many countries see Iran and their relationship with them could also change for the better. The change could happen relatively fast too, depending on the time that an agreement is reached.

It was reported that Iran president Rouhani spoke with US President Obama last Friday via telephone. The conversation has been labeled as the highest level of contact that has occurred between the two countries in about thirty years. The phone call also raised hopes that a resolve to Iran's nuclear program was coming soon.

The call also represented the shift in tone that the US had for Iran. The two countries cut all ties one year after Iran's 1970 revolution.

If Iran opened their nuclear facilities under inspection, it will be taken as a sign of sincerity. They should also keep their uranium enrichment efforts at a much lower scale at the point where it is not suitable for military use.

Iran has said that its use of Uranium was for their medicine and civil nuclear energy programs. They have also denied any plans to create atomic weapons.
