Ben Affleck, the newest big screen cape crusader, and Matt Damon are to team up for the small screen in executive producing a CBS series that is roughly based on Damon's life experiences.

According to Huffington Post, Ben Affleck has teamed up with Matt Damon in realizing a small-screen, half-hour comedy titled "More Time With Family." The actors reportedly landed a put pilot commitment with CBS.

Affleck and Damon's comedy show will star famous comedian Tom Papa as lead. Papa will play the man who does the titular gesture in finding "More Time With Family," said to be based on Damon's life experiences.

Deadline reported that the CBS comedy will center around a man "who changes his career and gives up a life on the road to spend more time at home with his family -- but when he gets there, he realizes no one asked him to do that."

Damon and Papa conceptualized the series following their working experience together in "Behind the Candelabra" and in "The Informant."

Several reports stated that Damon and Papa then consulted Ben Affleck, who owns a production company called Pearl Street Films that is now transitioning to the small screen with "The Middle Man".

John Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa - famous for "The King of Queens" - are the writers for the upcoming show and are also executive producing, according to Yahoo News. Yuspa and Goldsmith are both under a deal with 20th Century Fox TV.

The newest big-screen Batman reportedly announced last month that he will be producing and directing the pilot for "The Middle Man" under his production company Pearl Street.
