The Olsen twins are way passed their 'Full House' days, and right now they have blossomed into beautiful 27-year-old ladies, who are just out chasing their dream of becoming fashion icons. But how do they deal with the paparazzi snagging photos of them every now and then? Ashley Olsen says she simply tells them, "I am a New Yorker."

In a recent interview for Net-A-Porter, Ashley Olsen revealed that in order for her to ward off all the attention from the photographers, who are out to capture photos of her every now and then, she simply tells them that she is a New Yorker, and the reason for this is: "There is a threshold in New York, and once you pass that and are considered a New Yorker, they leave you alone."

Ashley also dished that with their crammed schedule of juggling home and work, she's pretty sure that the paparazzi are having a difficult time following them, but if they do, she simply says she tries to avoid them for most part.

It can be noted that the Olsen twins, Ashley and Mary Kate gained their own celebrity spotlight when they were still just 9-months-old by debuting in a shared role as Michelle Tanner for the hit series 'Full House.'

According to the two actress-turned-designers, they already knew the effects of fame when they decided to engage in more projects as young kids after the series.

"Then as we got older, we were very fortunate that we could hire and work with amazing people who want to protect us," Ashley Olsen said.

The Olsen twins then revealed that their desire to become fashion icons could be traced back when they were still playing for the role of the youngest Tanner. "[On Full House] we'd be in six-hour fittings three times a week, because we had to wear 12 different outfits," Ashley said.

TVGuide reported that as odd as it may sound, Michelle Tanner's style was inspired from adult pieces for Chanel and Marc Jacobs. They were simply tailored to fit the young Tanner's petite form.

"We were designing clothes for ourselves as we were so petite," Mary-Kate said. "So I think that is when we became obsessed with fit, and now the obsession has become a profession."

As of late, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen have co-founded several fashion brands including: Elizabeth and James, The Row, StyleMint, and Olsenboye.

In 2012, the Olsen twins were honored with the Womenswear Designers of the Year Award for The Row.
