The Philippines' bet for the crown, Ariella Arida, is a strong contender for this year's Miss Universe, and here are the reasons why the Filipina beauty might just bag the prestigious acclaim.
The coronation night is drawing near, and Miss Universe 2013 hopefuls are wishing they'll be able to make the cut to win the title. Among the 87 delegates, one is standing out to be an early favorite, and it is no other than Miss Philippines, Ariella Arida. The 24-year-old beauty has high hopes that this year, she will continue the legacy her predecessors left in the pageant.
There are a number of reasons why Ariella tops the contenders list, and one is because Filipina beauties are highly-celebrated in the pageant and are considered to exude beauty like no other. Miss Canada, Riza Santos, comes from pure Filipino descent, and also has a huge chance in placing in the pageant. Another candidate with Filipino roots is Miss Gabon, Jennifer Ondo Mouchita. It is said that Mouchita speaks fluent Tagalog, the Philippines' most-used dialect. If these beauties can "top it" with their Filipino touch, then Ariella has an advantage in the pageant because she is representing the country.
One more reason why Ariella can easily beat the ladies from other countries is her overflowing confidence and smarts.Ariella is a graduate of BS Chemistry from the University of the Philippines, the country's most prestigous and academically-challenging college. Arida has more reasons to win the Miss Universe 2013 crown because her fellow beauty queens back home, Megan Young and Mutya Datul, won Miss World and Miss Supranational 2013, and it is up to her for the Philippines to complete the trifecta of crowns if she emerges as the winner for this year's coronation night.
Ariella's followers and fans will have to watch her big night on the Miss Universe 2013 coronation night on November 9, which will air from the Crocus Center in Moscow, Russia, and see if she will be lucky enough to have fate on her side.
