Two people were killed and two more injured after an allegedly student opened fire at a Nevada middle school on Monday.
According to Kyle Nucum, a witness student, there was a loud sound "like a pop" before all students started to run and scream.
"The shooter was wearing a Sparks Middle School uniform, I thought it was a firecracker at first, but when the teacher came to investigate, the student pointed at him with a gun," Kyle told the Reno Gazette-Journal. "Then, he shot the teacher when was told to put the gun down."
"The teacher fell and everybody ran away," Kyle added. "We ran across the field to get somewhere safe, and while we were running we heard about four or five more gunshots."
Michelle Hernandez, another witness student, told RGJ she saw the shooter Monday morning.
"I heard him saying, 'Why you people making fun of me, why you laughing at me,'" she said.
The student who shot and killed a teacher and wounded two more students, fatally turned the gun on himself and pulled the trigger, the police confirmed.
At this moment, one of the shotting victims who were brought to the Renown Regional Medical Center, is in fair condition and the other is in serious condition.
The identity of the shooter remains unknown.
