Retired football player Jeff Garcia, four-time Pro Bowl quarterback, told USA Today Sports Wednesday he would like to have the chance to be playing for the Minnesota Vikings or either Minnesota Vikings.

During an interview with USA Today Sports, Jeff Garcia commented the opportunity will give also him a chance to be a mentor for younger quarterbacks taking advantage of his experience.

"I look at guys like David Garrard with the Jets and Matt Hasselbeck in Indianapolis and those teams aren't expecting David or Matt to step on the field, but they're great mentors to young quarterbacks in the classroom," Garcia added. "So in a situation where you have a young, talented player like a Josh Freeman who has had success, I'd be open to a role similar to David and Matt's."

Actually, the 43-year-old former quarterback reached out to the Cleveland Browns and proposed them to "work him out and take' a look".

"I don't know if people want me back in Cleveland, but I'm open to the opportunity," Jeff Garcia said, who appears one NFL Network's NFLAM every Monday and Friday.

According to recent reports, it doesn't look like the Brown, nor the Vikings, answered Garcia's proposal. As a matter of fact, Garcia hasn't held a ball for the last 3 years.
