The steamy Calvin Klein model has been chosen to fill the role of billionaire Christian Grey after Sons of Anarchy actor, Charlie Hunnam, quit the billing.
Fans of the E.L. James erotica novel trilogy have something to cheer about as reports are suggesting that Jamie Dornan has bagged the role of sexy billionaire, Christian Grey, in the film adaptation of 50 Shades of Grey. Dornan has been one of the top picks to play the coveted and controversial role, along with White Collar's Matt Bomer's and Vampire Diaries' Ian Somerhalder.
The Hollywood Reporter further stated that negotiations between the model's camp and the movie's producers are now in the works. It was said that Jamie Dornan did a screen test last week for the role with Billy Magnussen. Magnussen might also be a part of the high-billed cast for the anticipated movie.
The movie's distributor, Focus Features, did not release any comment regarding this development in the movie. Also, the trilogy's author, E.L. James, has not released any announcements related to Dornan bagging the role. Actress Dakota Johnson will continue to play the lovely Anastasia Steele despite news that she "is having a hard time" with the script because of the steamy and overly-graphic sex scenes.
Jamie Dornan dated Pirates of the Caribbean actress, Kiera Knightley in the past, and played the role of Sheriff Graham during the first season of Once Upon A Time. Production for 50 Shades of Grey will begin on November 1, with a target release date of August 1, 2014.
The actor who left the role, Charlie Hunnam, said that a busy schedule was the reason why he left the role just after a month of being casted. Speculations suggest that the Pacific Rim actor did not want to be "stereotyped" like Robert Pattinson was when he played vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight franchise.
