The Halloween season is drawing near and spooky ideas for just about everything is flooding the internet. If you're more of a laid back person who prefers staying at home than attending costume parties, here are some deliciously scary TV series you can binge on.

1.       American Horror Story

The twisted third season of American Horror Story premiered weeks ago, and you and your friends can catch up on the first and second seasons if you want to wait this season out. Each episode tells the story of true-to-life horror tales altered for TV, with each story crafted to make viewers even more scared. You can even get a couple of Halloween costume ideas from the show, if your house suddenly becomes too scary.

This season, American Horror Story tells the story of modern-day witches, exposing and exploring references from the Salem witch trial. 'Sabrina the Teenage witch' or the girls from 'Charmed' will seem like angels compared to the witches shown in AHS.

2.       Hannibal

Hollywood's favorite Cannibal is on TV, and he's more menacing and terrifying than ever. Taking cue from the Red Dragon book, the show features Hannibal Lecter as a polished, cultured psychiatrist that works on the case of Will Graham, a disturbed criminology professor who also aids the FBI in solving crimes. You will see a lot of human organs being ingested, but in a gourmet, 5-star kind-of way.

3.       The Walking Dead

Who doesn't love zombies during Halloween? For Rick Grimes and the rest of the zombie survival crew, killing zombies is just a walk in the park. The famous AMC hit is back with a new season and it's as gory as ever. Gather your friends for a weekend, dress as zombies, and binge-watch The Walking Dead for the ultimate Halloween activity. Preparing Bloody Marys while watching can make your "marathon" even more interesting!

Get your Netflix account running, invite your friends over for a freak-a-thon and catch these shows during the perfect season they should be enjoyed: Halloween!
