In the light of the royal christening of Prince George, TIME has released a feature on the Prince of Wales himself, now a royal grandfather, Prince Charles.
Now, Prince Charles may be ever-present in the public eye, but there are still a lot about him that the public does not know about.
Author Catherine Mayer penned a feature of the Prince of Wales on TIME magazine, and reportedly had so much written about the Prince of Wales that she had to write a second article that listed his quirkiest of anecdotes.
Among the delightfully amusing trivia about Prince Charles include:
Prince Charles apparently loves hiking; Actress and good friend Emma Thompson apparently said of Prince Charles: "Dancing with him is better than sex!"
While some citizens of Great Britain apparently have a different opinion on what the Prince of Wales does everyday (an 8 year old boy reportedly said that Prince Charles orders people around all day and beheads them if they don't follow), Prince Charles has far meeker hobbies than putting people to work.
Prince Charles is a sheep expert. At a fundraiser, Prince Charles spoke to a woman who raises a specific breed of sheep, and was very knowledgeable on the subject: he knew which island they came from, what they ate, what their nature was. He also knew how the sheep were notorious for being very hard to capture.
Prince Charles' full royal title is as follows: His Royal Highness Prince Charles Philip Arthur George, Prince of Wales, KG, KT, GCB, OM, AK, QSO, PC, ADC, Earl of Chester, Duke of Cornwall, Duke of Rothesay, Earl of Carrick, Baron of Renfrew, Lord of the Isles and Prince and Great Steward of Scotland.
The Prince of Wales is also very proficient at doing watercolors, and sells them under the name of A.G. Carrick.
At 65 years old, Prince Charles has already spearheaded 428 different charities one of them giving grants to young people in need, one of the beneficiaries of which is Idris Elba (Thor, Pacific Rim).
