English-Irish pop boy band One Direction released its new single "Story of My Life" after promising a more mature sound, so mature it resembles other styles like Mumford & Sons' or Ed Sheeran's.
According to media and fans, Story of My Life, second single taken from their upcoming third album Midnight Memories, even has some sounds resembling Coldplay and is no more just "candy and sugar".
"Written these walls are the stories that I can't explain, leave my heart open but It stays right here empty for days," Story of My Life opens.
First single from Midnight Memories, "Best Song Ever", was released on July 22nd of this year and was strongly criticized. Click Music reacted negatively accusing them of plagiarism of The Who's "Baba O'Riley"
Album Midnight Memories will hit stores on November 25th.
