Google has announced that they will be hiring more Google Glass testers over the next few weeks. Those who have been testing the wearable computers will be able to invite 3 friends to test the technological wonder.

In an announcement posted on Google+, developers of the Google Glass are pleased to announce that in order to achieve optimum results they have decided to hire more testers. Those interested will have to pay $1,500 USD, the purchase amount of the Google Glass. Upon purchase, they will be joining the 8,000 existing testers, aptly called "Glass Explorers" as of present.

One thing that the new testers can also benefit from is Google's willingness to ship the product to the tester's doorstep. Earlier testers had to go to the company's headquarters in San Francisco or New York in order to get a hold of the coveted "wearable computer."

"They'll be able to buy Glass online and can have it shipped to their home, office, treehouse or igloo," Google wrote in the said announcement on Tuesday.

"We're counting on you to get Glass to the people you think will make great Explorers. More Explorers means more feedback, and more feedback means better Glass."

Google also stressed that current Glass Explorers can also swap their old glasses for a newer version, and that the future Explorers will receive the latest prototype of the hardware.

"We want to say 'thank you' for all the amazing feedback we've been getting, so later this year, all Explorers will have a one-time option to swap out their existing Glass for a new one," wrote Google, as reported by Computer World.

"This hardware update will allow your Glass to work with future lines of shades and prescription frames, and we'll also include a mono earbud," added Google in the same post.
