Eternal Flame Returns to JFK Gravesite After Upgrades
By James Brown | Oct 30, 2013 01:07 PM EDT
Eternal Flame is back to its original spot at the gravesite of President John F. Kennedy as upgrades and repairs to the place were completed.
In April, the flame was transported to a temporary burner by workers who used a torch to carry it while crews installed new gas lines and more efficient burners.
Now, the flame is back on time where it belongs less than a month before the 50th anniversary of the president's assassination.
The permanent burner protudes from a stone located next to Kennedy's tomb at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
