Trick or treat kids plans could be "spooked" today in Indianapolis, Kentucky and Ohio as fears of strong storms could cause 60-mph winds with falling trees danger.
According to some reports from Indianapolis Department of Public Safety, they decided to switch Halloween to Friday night as a suggestion "for the safety of those that are going to be out and about".
"Anywhere from eastern Wisconsin to the lower peninsula of Michigan, all the way down into the Midwest into the Mississippi Valley into parts of Texas, there will be a big area of damaging wind gusts and maybe some tornadoes," predicted Weather Channel's expert Greg Forbes.
Almost a dozen Indiana communities switched the official Halloween trick or treat date to Friday, USA Today informed.
Further, Kentucky authorities in Winchester decided to move Halloween outing to Friday as well.
