Tom Hanks Insurance Broker Sentenced To 2 Years In Prison

Tom Hanks insurance broker who overcharged him hundreds of thousands of dollars was sentenced to 27 months in federal prison and was ordered to pay $840,000 back in restitution.
In 1998, broker Jerry Goldman increased premiums as high as 600% and "created phony invoices to hide the scam".
Other Goldman's victims included the former guitarist for The Police, Andy Summers, the original statement claimed.
