Ruben Studdard, one of the favorite "The Biggest Loser" contestants, left the reality show on Tuesday as he didn't lose enough weight.
When he stepped on the scale, Ruben lost 5 pounds only, failing to lose 11 pounds it would have taken to save his team and himself.
"I worked really, really hard this week," he said standing on the scale. "I swam extra, I walked extra."
Ruben, who won "American Idol" Season 2 becoming famous with "The Velvet Teddy Bear" nickname, joined the show because he wanted to get rid of a "girth" was interfering with his goal of becoming the greatest singer in the world.
He entered the ranch at 462 pounds starting strong with a loss of 21 pounds for the first weigh in. Afterward, his performance dropped dramatically and he lost three pounds last week.
