After last week's "Kill or Be Killed," where we saw the John's (Luke Mitchell) backstory, the new CW series will head to a fun-filled episode as the Tomorrow People gang enjoys the night away partying and doing pretty much what normal people their age do. However, things don't look that great as a sneak peek for 'The Tomorrow People' season 1 episode 5 revealed that Jedekiah, let alone the entire Ultra has already planned out something special for the Homo Superior class, an all-in sabotage endeavor that will guarantee their capture for good. And the sad fact is Cara (Peyton List) may not have anticipated Ultra's move. Moreover, Stephen may not have any idea on this sabotage plan as well since he will be pre-occupied in meeting Ultra's big boss, which will lead to a shocking revelation as well. Spoilers for the all-new episode of 'The Tomorrow People,' titled "All Tomorrow's Parties" revealed that Astrid (Madeleine Mantock) will be having Stephen (Robbie Amell) as her Homecoming date. And since it's her first time to join the Homecoming she is very excited to dress for the occasion and enjoy the night with Stephen. However, it seems that Astrid will never meet her date after Stephen bails on the dance when he breaks an Ultra protocol for a training exercise. Stephen will then be summoned by Ultra's big boss, the one who has Jedekiah on strings. And we don't have any clues yet on who is playing this character, or who is apparently the one behind Ultra, but one thing is for sure, Astrid will not miss the chance to finally investigate on Stephen's whereabouts whenever he is on Ultra duty. But according to some spoilers, Astrid will have a run-in with a Tomorrow Person in her attempt to play detective on Stephen. Our guess is John, who is more than eager to help Stephen in unraveling the secrets of Ultra. Watch 'The Tomorrow People' season 1 episode 5 online. Click on the link below for free live streaming.
According to Hypable, in the upcoming episode of 'The Tomorrow People,' Stephen will be in an unexpected trouble after he breaks an Ultra protocol. He will be asked to meet up with Jedekiah's (Mark Pellegrino) mysterious boss. But the new recruit will smell trouble once he finds out that Jedekiah has no authority or power to protect him from whatever Ultra's big boss is planning to do to him. Thus, he enlists the help of John, who is only going to cooperate for selfish reasons of bringing Ultra down. In an interview for Entertainment Weekly, Madeline Mantock, who plays Astrid, teased fans about Ultra's mysterious boss. "I know that I'm not allowed to tell you his name. You do meet him in episode 5. The guy who plays him is absolutely lovely." Additionally, Mantock also did an interview for WetPaint and she revealed some things on what fans can expect from Wednesday night's show. "She just wants to figure out what's going on because she feels this distance between them, and she knows he's hiding something. So in an effort to show her that he does care, he agrees to go to Homecoming with her, but he never quite makes it. She's all dressed up with nowhere to go. Obviously, there's interference from Ultra," Mantock said. The young actress also revealed that Astrid is also on Ultra's radar since she is after all, a close friend of Stephen. "But the thing with Ultra is that they always say they're trying to protect the human race, which Astrid is a member of, so I think it would be naive to automatically jump to the conclusion that they would want to kill her because they don't. She's not a threat to them, and she doesn't have any powers. However, if she were to find out more about their world, then that puts her in danger," she adds. Mantock also opened up about Astrid's real feelings for Stephen. "I think she wants to have his baby. She's completely head over heels! But he doesn't know that. I don't know how. She's completely in love with him, but I think she's willing to sacrifice that in the meantime because she cares about his life and making sure he stays safe. She's prepared to let go because things are a bit crazy for him right now. He main priority is making sure Stephen is alright. But yes, she definitely has much stronger feelings for him than he realizes," she said. Meanwhile, on the question whether fans can expect Astrid's backstory on the show, Mantock told Entertainment Weekly, "Yes! I'm happy to say that you will. Not necessarily in the back story kind of way because she's not a Tomorrow Person and doesn't have a story of breaking out, but about who she is and what she does alongside Stephen. Yes, that will happen."
