Last week's Tomorrow People episode "All Tomorrow's Parties," proved to us that partying isn't a good idea for the tomorrow people gang. We even saw John (Luke Mitchell) killing one of Ultra's agents to spare his girlfriend Cara (Peyton List) from getting hurt. Additionally, Astrid (Madeleine Mantock) is now fully aware of Stephen's (Robbie Amell) secret life. Is this going to put her in danger? In a sneak peek to this Wednesday night's Tomorrow People episode, titled "Sorry For Your Loss," we can hear Cara reprimanding Russell and Stephen for going to a pool house. "What were you two doing in a pool house," we can hear Cara asking the two. Russell then answers her back with, "We were attracting breakouts and stuff." The preview then shows Russell throwing a billiard ball to a girl, who apparently has telekinetic powers just like them. However, the promotional video hints that this will spell trouble for the gang since the girl is the sister of an Ultra agent. Will this ultimately lead to Stephen double agent status getting revealed? Meanwhile, according to several spoilers, we are going to see Russell's back story following his father's death. John will be accompanying Russell back home to sort out some family matters, leaving Cara in charge of the underground gang. And with Irene still recovering after last week's excursion, Cara will find it hard to manage everything including Stephen, who is preoccupied with his double duty and in making a compromise now that someone, who is possibly going to work for Ultra, already knows his secret. Since tonight's episode will feature Russell's back story, actor Aaron Yoo was recently interviewed by IGN about the upcoming episode. "He's very much a bon vivant, and it comes from him having a lot of pain in his past. There's almost a drive to be the person that he is because he is either fighting or running away from something in his past," Yoo said on his character. When asked on whether or not we are going to see an explanation on why he joined the group, Yoo answered, "I think you're gonna get a good sense of it fairly quickly. So much of the journey for us as actors is... every episode we get, we're like, "Oh my God!" I'd say, by the time you get to where we're shooting now, eight or nine episodes in, you're going to feel like you know these characters really, really well - not just their personalities, but some of their deep, dark secrets." Then, he adds, "There is an episode that is a flashback. I'm not sure what I am or am not allowed to say about that, but it's fairly early on. It's a really fun thing as an actor to be able to play a whole range, to span a character over the course of a decade or however many years it was - eight years, ten years? The episode synopsis for "Sorry For Your Loss" reads: "FAMILY BONDS - "When Stephen and Russell head out for a night of fun, they run into a potential new break-out. Stephen and Russell report back to John and Cara about the new person, but they want to keep a low profile from Ultra. Sadly, Russell learns that his dad has passed away and he is torn about whether or not he should go home. John volunteers to accompany Russell to help keep him out of trouble.
