The Woodshed restaurant has been heavily damaged and consumed by a fire that ignited just hours after the iconic restaurant in Moultonborough, New Hampshire closed down following a profitable evening for serving Thanksgiving dinner.
According to the WCVB, the popular Woodshed restaurant which can be found inside a 19th century farmhouse was destroyed by flames at around 10 p.m. Thursday evening, just a few hours after its closing time at 6 p.m.
Six crews from six towns reportedly helped one another in working throughout the entire night just to put out the terrifying blaze, WMUR-TV reported.
Although no one was inside the building during the fire and although no one was reportedly injured out of the burning of the Woodshed restaurant, a mystery on what started the fire remains to be under investigation.
"It was special occasions for wife and I and family. Just a lot of celebrations here. It's extremely sad, just devastation. It's something historical for our town. This is hidden treasure off beaten path. It was beautiful inside, a lot of antiques," Todd Ringlestein, a loyal customer, said.
Meanwhile, co-owner Andy Juhasz expressed his disappointment on the accident given the length of time he has spent at the restaurant. "It was built in the 1800s. I grew up here as kid and cheffed this place in the early 80's," Juhasz said.
On the other hand, co-owner Scott Ouellete said, "I think it's one of these places that unfortunately, how'd you rebuild and how do you ever try to bring something like this back. I think there are just too many irreplaceable memories."
As of late, the owners are still contemplating on the idea of rebuilding the Woodshed restaurant, NBC News reported.
