Trent Richardson, Colts running back was replaced by Donald Brown in the starting lineup for the game against Tennessee Titans this Sunday.

Richardson, a first pick acquisition from Cleveland Browns was expected to be in the main lineup for the team and to kick off the offense of the game. The Colts have tried to jumpstart their outscored offense record on the first half of the four games.

Richardson, who is now on second string and has a lesser load, struggled on the nine games so far - with only a 2.8 yard average per carry.

According to a source who spoke to NFL Media about the demotion, "It's a bottom-line biz, change needed to be made. Donald is our most productive guy."

The Colts still believes in Richardson's future with the team according to Rapoport but they need to play the hot hand for the sake of positioning the lineup.

When Richardson was traded to the Colts last September it was expected that he will be the balancing key to the offensive attack of the team. However, it seems the young running back is still about to prove himself to his team.

Donald Brown on the other hand is taking his place on the first line up. Brown, a first-round pick back in 2009 has been a steady force and significant contributor to the Colts. He led the Colts on their first meet with the Titans in rushing 80 yards and averaging 5.8 yard per carry.

Brown is on his last contract with the team while Trent Richardson still has two seasons.
