Three people were taken in to custody after a man died at the parking lot of the Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas after the Chiefs played the Broncos.
The spokesman from the Kansas City police, Darin Snapp told AP that the Arrowhead homicide is still under investigation. According to reports the man who was in his 20s, was found unconscious by paramedics lying on a pavement and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The man who died, whose name has not yet been revealed, was found to be in someone else's vehicle by a father and son returning to their car. A fight broke out between the father and the man in the vehicle while the son ran for help.
Snapp said that they have not yet been able to pinpoint the exact cause of death as there were no visible indications as to what caused it. Investigators are looking for health problems that could have been the reason why the man collapsed.
The Chiefs have not yet released a statement regarding the situation as the Arrowhead homicide is still under police investigation.
The homicide also happened exactly one year after the murder-suicide of Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher. Belcher, killed his girlfriend Kasandra Perkins near the stadium then shot himself in front of former coach Romeo Crennel and Scott Pioli.
Snapp mentioned that they are talking to eyewitnesses regarding what happened. The situation will be investigated as a homicide until police investigators get all the probable evidence indicating otherwise. The 3 men brought in for questioning are considered the persons of interest in the Arrowhead homicide.
