Who would have thought that having Deion Sanders fired for the second time from the school he co-founded would result in a student body wide walkout? Well, most everyone. Sanders was asked to leave from the Texas charter school, Prime Prep Academy, due to some prevailing administrative issues. A not-so-secret power struggle between Sanders and the rest of the administrative board has been going on for some time now and perhaps the only thing that made sense was to have Deion Sanders fired. Again.

As a direct result of the move, an estimated 75 students and players walked out while Sanders was being escorted from the premises by the school security. He had this to say about his unceremonial exit:  "I never dreamed this. I just dreamed of having the best academic and athletic institution in the country, and we are going to have it. We are going to have it...we just have to get this mess out," as reported by WFAA News.

The reaction of the student body with finding Deion Sanders fired has been nothing but indignation. With issues about his alleged involvement in a physical fight with a past employee and school funds being mishandled, it seems that the allegations of his erroneous behavior are not to be believed, that is if the students had a say. Sanders himself has commented that the act was just another excuse to cut him off from the school system.

A school board meeting has been set for Friday of this week in an attempt to clear the events and accusations leading up to getting Deion Sanders fired from his position. "This is nonsense. We are sick of it. The kids don't deserve it," the former Dallas Cowboys star player said in relation to how his being removed from the board was affecting the students.
