Brian the dog is reportedly making a comeback appearance on 'Family Guy' for the show's Christmas special, but now many are asking whether the dog they have learned to love and shed tears for recently is going to be back for good.
According to ABC News, the hit Fox comedy cartoon show is planning to bring Brian the dog back from the dead following his tearful demise on the Nov. 24 episode of 'Family Guy.'
Entertainment Weekly sparked the said rumor that the beloved dog is making a comeback appearance because of the rather tricky episode synopsis for the show's Dec. 15 episode, which is titled "Christmas Guy."
The official synopsis released by Fox reads: "Stewie devises a master plan to get the one and only thing he wants for Christmas."
It can be noted that following the death of Brian the dog late November, a change.org petition was made which was requesting for the return of the fury friend. The petition got over 128,000 supporters, but multiple sources claim that there is no direct connection pointed out as of late if the alleged Christmas episode appearance of Brian is due to the said petition.
However, Entertainment Weekly has already revealed ahead of time that a Maya Rudolph episode, which is scheduled to air next fall, is going to feature Brian.
Meanwhile, when 'Family Guy' executive producer Steve Callaghan was asked on the show's decision to kill off Brian the dog, he simply answered it with, "This was an idea that got pitched in the writers' room and it sort of caught fire, and we thought it could be a fun way to shake things up."
