The Eagles-Lions game was by far the most epic game this winter season. For one thing, not only did it start on a very tough note, it also ended with one when the Eagles emerged victorious despite the insane snowstorm.

Nope! It wasn't due to technical problems or poor camera angling that you could barely see the game through your television screens, it was actually the huge snowstorm throughout the first half that made it seem impossible for anyone including the players and the referees themselves to really play the game and give it their best shot.

WebProNews reported that the Eagles-Lions game was so difficult to watch especially for those who were simply at home and wanted to enjoy a dose of some sports action.

The huge snowstorm obviously took a toll on the players; hence, no one was able to score in the first half of the game, and both teams didn't even manage to score in the first quarter.

A love correspondent during the Eagles-Lions game reported that though several games also opened this week with severe conditions, no one has anticipated the fate that has befallen this literally white and ice-cold game. The reporter even noted that the height of the snow was at 8 inches at one point during the game.

Fortunately, the game picked up the pace in the second half. LeSean McCoy even braved the snowstorm to set an Eagles record for most rushing yards in a game. Because of this, the Philadelphia Eagles finished with 299 yards rushing against a defense that didn't allow a TD on the ground in the previous eight games. McCoy was reportedly responsible for 217 rushing yards in the game. This means that he has broken Hall of Fame Steven Van Buren's 205 record in 1949.

The Eagles continued to take the lead and eventually dominated the fourth quarter. Although the Lions led the game 8-0 at halftime, prior to taking a 14 point lead, the Eagles maintained its strong will to win and the running skills of LeSean McCoy proved to be their best asset throughout the remaining time.

Amid the very challenging environment, somehow both the Eagles and the Lions managed to score and give an entertaining fight. The final score for the game was 34-20, giving the Eagles a record of 8-5, and dropping the Lions to 7-6.

Below is a clip showing how the Eagles-Lions game looked like during its live telecast.
