Miami News: Have you heard,"innocent until proven guilty!" This popular phrase has proven true not once but twice in the life of George Zimmerman. It was reported today that Zimmerman will not face the domestic violence charges brought up against him by his girlfriend, Samantha Scheibe's.

The State Prosecutor involved in the case revealed that the corroborating evidence was not enough for a solid case. Another major factor in this decision was Scheibe's sudden lack of cooperation. This week she filed an affidavit stating that most of what she said was untrue.

You may remember the confrontation that made most of the news stations were Zimmerman was charged with criminal mischief, aggravated assault, and battery. These charges surfaced after police were called out to the Florida home shared by Zimmerman and Scheibe. Scheibe told the police that during an argument Zimmerman pointed a shotgun at her, destroyed the coffee table, and pushed her.

Had Zimmerman been convicted of these felony charges he could have spent up to five years in prison. Prior to today's announcement Zimmerman was released on a $9,000 bail and ordered to stay at a separate residence then Scheibe.

This arrest was following a string of other legal problems including the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman was also accused of damaging his ex wife's iPad during an argument.

Lack of evidence played a part in these charges not being filed as well. During these cases Zimmerman has made statements he later recanted or the statements were found to be untrue. The question most Americans have now is, can Zimmerman really be innocent of all these charges?

What are your thoughts on this these new developments or the developments of the past. Is Zimmerman a victim of society?
