Lil Wayne is dead. That is based on the video that is making its rounds on the internet especially on social media sites. However, the rapper is actually perfectly safe and fine as of today. He is just one of the artists who has landed the celebrity death hoax zone.

According to E! Online, Lil Wayne is the latest victim of celebrity death hoaxes. The 31-year-old rapper allegedly died Monday, December 16 based on a news report and a viral video that is currently hot news on Facebook as well as other social media sites. While the report may simply be shoved off as void since it does not have strong evidence let alone credible details on Lil Wayne's roundabouts, the video titled "RIP Lil Wayne, Rapper Found Dead" is somehow believable until you click it,

Spin reports that the video of Lil Wayne claims that the rapper died after suffering from a seizure, which is based on the fact that Wayne is an epileptic. Nevertheless, experts, who stumbled upon this viral video, didn't bother to click it instead released a counter message claiming that the video which can only be played after sharing it on Facebook and other social media sites follow the devious template of computer viruses. Hence, they are warning computer users to avoid such celebrity death hoax video.

On the other hand, Lil Wayne is currently preparing for his collaboration with null in a new song titled "Loyal." The track is even landing Breezy's upcoming album "X."

Other stars and artists who recently became a victim to the celebrity death hoax phenomenon include: Adam Levine, Carrie Underwood, Woody Harrelson, and Rowan Atkinson.
