Marie Osmond announced Thursday that they're welcoming a new member in the family and that she's become a proud new grandmother.
Osmond shared her exciting news on Twitter as soon as she could, tweeting "Hey everyone . . . I just became a GRANDMA!!!!!!!!"
Marie Osmond, now 54 years old, later on updated her Twitter with "It's a boy!"
No other details regarding her new grandson were disclosed during this time.
Osmond first shared good news of the newest addition to the family to the world earlier this year. The "Paper Roses" singer announced in June 2013 that her eldest son Stephen Craig and Osmond's daughter-in-law Claire Olds were already excitedly expecting their first child together.
Marie Osmond also expressed her excitement on being a grandmother in the same interview. She told "The Talk" that she could not wait to be a grandmother and she was looking forward to the experience more and more as the due date drew near.
The famous songstress learned that she was going to be a grandmother in a very significant manner. Osmond shared the story of how she found out and said that her son surprised her with the news during his 30th birthday.
"We went in for my son -- for his birthday -- he turned 30, which is amazing 'cause I'm 29," Osmond joked. "He blew out the candles and then blew me away and said, 'You're gonna be a grandma!' It was really fun."
Stephen Craig is Marie Osmond's only child with Stephen Lyle Craig, her first husband. The two got married in 1982 and divorced three years later in 1985 but later on reunited and remarried in 2011.
Osmond is the mother of six other children, two are biological and four adopted, with Brian Blosil, her second husband whom she was married to for several years from 1986 to 2007. Her younger biological children aside from Stephen are Rachel and Matthew and her adopted children include Jessica, Brandon, Brianna and Abigail.
In February 2010, Marie Osmond experienced devastating loss when her then 18-year-old son Michael committed suicide after battling depression.
