Robin Thicke and Daft Punk topped 2013's singles sales chart in Britain with "Blurred Lines" and "Get Lucky respectively.

UK's overall singles sales for 2013 dipped to 182.2 million, compared to the 186.6 million the previous year, as confirmed by th Official Charts Company and Britain's recorded music trade body BPI.

2013's overall album sales also dropped 6.4 percent to $1.28 billion (£772 million) due to the 13% drop in CD sales from 2012, according to the data.

Britain's total trade music revenue once more topped $1.66 billion or £1 billion, officials confirmed without disclosing further details.

Streaming revenue for Britain climbed to more than £100 million ($166 million) for the first time in 2013, with the estimated $170 million streaming revenue comprising 10 percent of the total recorded music sales for Britain.

"The success of digital music in 2013 surpassed all previous records - we celebrated the one billionth track download, counted four million-selling digital singles, and streamed more than 7 billion songs," confirmed Geoff Taylor, BPI's Chief Executive Officer. "As digital music moves into the streaming era, the prospects for future growth in the U.K. music market look strong."

Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines," which features TI and Pharrell Williams, sold around 1.47 million copies since the song debuted at the number spot in Britain charts back in June 2013. "Blurred Lines" dominated the charts for five weeks, making Robin Thicke's bestseller the longest running chart-topper of 2013.

Daft Punk's "Get Lucky," featuring Nile Rodgers and Williams rounded up 2013 by selling more than 1.3 million copies. This was the French dance duo's first number 1 hit in Britain.

"I'm humbled by all of the love the U.K. fans have shown. But, when you are working with incredible talent like The Robots and Robin, great things are bound to happen," remarked Williams on the two chart-topping singles of 2013 that he had participated in.

Pharrell William's latest single "Happy" climbed the charts to become Britain's year-ender number 1 single.
