Shia LaBeouf first admitted and apologized for his plagiarism of a graphic novella by Daniel Clowes last Dec. 16, 2013 and the "Transformers" star hasn't stopped bowing his head since.

After the actor continued expressing his regret over the incident by tweeting his apologies for two weeks straight, LaBeouf upped his game and went all out in apologizing for the plagiarism incident through a skywritten message on Jan. 1.

The move, described as "desperate" and "over the top" by internet users, was widely degraded and mocked by majority of Twitter users, including actors Seth Rogen and Patton Oswalt.

"This is by far the most I've ever been entertained by Shia LaBeouf," Seth Rogen posted on Jan. 2 regarding LaBeouf's skywritten apology.
"Young Adult" actor Patton Oswalt shared some thoughts of his own through Twitter, telling LaBeouf directly that "If you're gonna be that dumb, delusional AND boring when you speak, just go ahead and plagiarize." 

Oswalt followed the tweet by linking a 2011 published article in which the "Transformers" star claimed he managed to turn a mere US$20,000 business investment into US$489,000 through trade of various securities.

In the article, LaBeouf also claimed to have accomplished this as part of his preparation for the stockbroker role he plays in the film "Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps."

Unfortunately, the actor and Thomas Belesis, Financial CEO of John Thomas, had been selling off InterOil shares to investors. InterOil stock lost a staggering US$300 million in market value on Sept. 27 of 2011, causing a failure of a massive scale for the former child actor.

"Your words: 'I never profited off anyone's back.' Except when you defrauded investors," Oswalt reportedly said in his tweet to LaBeouf. 

Saturday Night Live scriptwriter Chris Kelly joined in poking fun at LaBeouf through Twitter, saying, "Gotta give Shia LaBeouf credit. This is great advertising for...the 10th Anniversary of Holes on Blu-Ray?"

The "Transformers" actor has not yet given a direct response to his Hollywood peers' tweets. He was not totally absent from Twitter however, as he did retweet several of other Twitter users' thoughts on the real reason why LaBeouf has yet to stop apologizing for the scandal.

"I told you Shia LaBeouf's performance art is more interesting than Joaquin Phoenix's ever was," one Twitter user posted regarding LaBeouf.
