Ke$ha, who made her name in popstardom with hits such as "Crazy Kids" and "Tick Tock," has admitted to an eating disorder and started taking immediate measures to get the right kind of help after the singer checked herself in a rehabilitation center for treatment.
After rumors of her much skinnier body began to circulate, Ke$ha finally came clean regarding her diet problems and had herself enrolled in a rehabilitation center's treatment program which will require the singer to stay at the center for the next 30 days.
"I'm a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself," shared the 26-year-old "Crazy Kids" singer in an official statement regarding her decision. "But I've found it hard to practice."
The pop star added that she will be unavailable for the next 30 days because she will be seeking treatment for her eating disorder and Ke$ha wants to "learn to love myself again. Exactly as I am."
Ke$ha, born Kesha Rose Sebert, is now reportedly getting treatment at a Chicago-based rehabilitation center called Timberline Knolls. Timberline Knolls is also the centre "X Factor" judge Demi Lovato got treatment for bulimia in 2009.
According to her fans and media officials, Ke$ha looks significantly thinner than when she first started gaining traction in the music scene in 2005. The "Crazy Kids" singer had previously claimed that her skinnier look was due to yoga and exercise, prompting positive response from spectators but fans grew more worried as the singer continued losing weight.
Ke$ha, who stars in her own realit television show "My Crazy Beautiful Life," previously shared details regarding her food habits, admitting that she is a fully-pledged vegetarian because she strongly dislikes eating animals. "I just love animals," the "Crazy Kids" singer shared in an interview with a local newspaper in Phoenix. "I'm an advocate for animal rights and I don't believe in animal testing."
