Alexa Vega seems to be gearing up for a stellar 2014 as the "Spy Kids" star confirmed she and fiance Carlos Pena, Jr. have officially tied the knot in a private ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on Jan. 4.
The 25-year-old star and her "Big Time Rush" singer husband started dating in 2013, announcing their engagement just several months after in September.
Vega shared a photo of her gorgeous engagement ring through Instagram to relay the news to eager fans, captioning the snapshot of Pena with "fiance."
Alexa Vega shared the news of her marriage with fans through Twitter on Saturday, Jan. 4, tweeting, "Mrs. PENAVEGA."
The "Machete Kills" star did not disclose further information regarding the wedding. Husband Carlos Pena, Jr. also kept the affair private and declined to comment.
This is Vega's second marriage. The 25-year-old actress divorced ex-husband, 37-year-old film producer Sean Covel, in July 2012 after being married for two years. The former couple's divorce was made official in December of 2012.
Covel, who seemed to have maintained a friendly relationship with the actress, expressed his happiness for his ex-wife's re-marriage.
"Deepest congratulations to @alexavega and @TheCarlosPena!" the film producer tweeted shortly following the announcement of their engagement. Covel followed the greeting up with a joke, saying, "May your days be happy, lives be long, and your children, somehow, be tall."
Sean Covel and Alexa Vega have remained friends with ex-wife even after their divorce in 2012.
Fans and friends from the industry have also responded with similar sentiments with the newlyweds receiving streams of tweets from excited fans and peers regarding their marriage.
