Rapper Young Jeezy was arrested by Atlanta officials on Friday on charges of battery, false imprisonment and a murder attempt he made against his 17-year-old boy Jadarius, confirmed news website TMZ on Tuesday.
Court documents claim that the rapper got into a nasty fight with his son Jadarius in the bathroom of their home, which ended up with Young Jeezy reportedly throwing the 17-year-old against the door of the glass shower stall.
Jadarius injured his head due to the act of violence however the 36-year-old father did not stop there. He also allegedly punched Jadarius in the face, dragged the boy into the bedroom and threw him against the bed where he continued beating the 17-year-old up.
Young Jeezy turned himself in to the police after an Atlanta grand jury issued a warrant of arrest for all three charges. Jeezy bonded out for US$45,000 shortly after and claimed that the allegations made against him were fake. The singer added that the whole thing was likely a setup planned by Tenesha Dykes, Jadarius' mother, for money.
According to sources close to the star, Young Jeezy and son Jadarius did get into an intense shouting match at their home in September of 2012 but the fight never became violent.
Young Jeezy had apparently only reprimanded his 17-year-old boy regarding his attitude, telling the boy not to bring his friends at their home.
Shortly after Jadarius grew belligerent, Jeezy and his son started screaming at each other.
Insiders also denied allegations that Young Jeezy told Jadarius, "I will kill you ... I will put a bullet in your head right now." Sources also insisted that Jeezy's words were more along the lines of, "I brought you into this world and I can take you out of it," which though could easily be misinterpreted, did not exactly mean he would kill his son.
Sources stressed that Jadarius' mother Dykes was the real reason behind Young Jeezy's arrest, claiming that the mother had been brainwashing her son into trying to extort more money from the singer.
