Thorson and Liberace met in 1976 through the latter's romantic friendship with Bob Street, a dancer who was a friend of Ray Arnett, a Hollywood producer who was also staging Liberace's shows in Las Vegas. One of Scott Thorson Photos:

Thorson was 18-years-old at the time of the meeting and Liberace hired him to work as the latter's personal friend and companion. It was alleged that the companionship included a five-year romantic affair between the two in which Liberace lavished the young Thorson with gifts, travel, and the promise of adopting Thorson. Thorson then appeared in many of Liberace's shows in Las Vegas with one of the most famous performances was when Thorson chauffeured Liberace in a Limousine Rolls Royce. One of Scott Thorson Photos:

However, their relationship ended after Thomson said that Liberace was promiscuous and that he [Thorson] was addicted to drugs. He acquired the addiction after a plastic surgery in which the plastic surgeon gave him cocaine quualudes, biphetamines, and Demerol. One of Scott Thorson Photos:

Scott Thorson filed a lawsuit against Liberace for $113 million and parts of which was a palimony lawsuit. But the two have reconciled in 1986 right before Liberace's death in 1987. The following year, Thorson wrote and published a book titled Behind the Candelabra: MY Life with Liberace, which talked about his relationship with the great entertainer. The book was later adapted into a movie by Richard LaGravense and Steven Soderbergh.
