5.1 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Cuba

A 5.1 magnitude earthquake shakes Cuba from Key to Orlando, Thursday afternoon. According to US Geological survey, the shudder occurs 3:37 pm. , caused the buildings in Havana to sway. The earthquake is from 6.2 miles deep and 24 miles North of Corralillo, Cuba.
Although did not cause any tsunami threats and injuries, this kind of earthquakes can shake old fashioned houses and building.
The said quake was unusual and was not experienced for the past 28 years. The last report of earthquake in Key West was 1980. Cuba is not known to experience earthquake, seismic activities as well as other countries of Latin America.
This is not the first record of earthquake that happen in Cuba. Several magnitudes of earthquakes including the one in 1932 that killed 8 people and damage almost 80 percent of the building and establishments in the Eastern Part of Santiago according to US Geological Survey.
Some Key Wet Citizens called the Naval Air Station to verify of the shake was caused by aircraft activity.
The quake was felt for 30 seconds around the area. The resident experienced sudden shake of floor.
Geophysicist in the earthquake said that earthquakes do not always chase by an aftershock but possibilities are not that small.
Report of mild shaking in Tampa Bay and North of Orlando are also heard but still not verified if it is caused by the quake.
